To create this fragrance, perfumer Céline Barel's inspiration was to play against the charred, woody inflections of rye by using earthy ingredients like patchouli and tobacco.

Both luminous and dark, this fragrance breathes with seductive notes of patchouli and tobacco. Patchouli's touch of camphoraceous brightness is contrasted with its earthy, woody character. Tobacco coils with nuances of dried fruits, vanilla, balsams, and wood. Both ingredients pair well with rye as they are both smoky and warmly spiced in nature.
